In the beauty industry, efficiency and versatility are key to creating a seamless salon experience. One accessory that has garnered attention is the ECOHEADS Salon Showerhead and Hose, known for its innovative design and environmental benefits. But can it fit any salon basin? Let’s dive into this question and explore the compatibility of ECOHEADS and the ECOHEADS hose with various salon setups.
Understanding ECOHEADS and the ECOHEADS Hose Design
The ECOHEADS hose was engineered after the arrival of the ECOHEADS Showerhead in the United States, specifically designed to adapt the Australian designed nozzle. ECOHEADS can be adapted to any basin, with a few considerations, making it an attractive option for salon owners.
Flexibility is at the heart of the ECOHEADS hose’s appeal. The hose is crafted from high-quality materials, ensuring durability while allowing it to stretch and fit various configurations of salon basins. As a result, salon owners appreciate its ability to deliver superior pressure, cleaner water and a better experience.
In addition, the ECOHEADS hose was created to address water wastage in the salon and has been tested to save up to 65% of the water and energy used in the salon while also increasing the pressure. Its engineering not only makes it versatile but also positions it as a sustainable choice for modern salons looking to reduce their water consumption.
Ultimately, the ECOHEADS hose stands out in the market due to its thoughtful design that balances performance and eco-friendliness. As salons aim to enhance their operational efficiency, selecting tools that can adapt to different environments becomes essential, and the ECOHEADS hose fits this need beautifully.
Can You Remove Your Old Nozzle?
To determine how the ECOHEADS hose will fit, first check to see if your current nozzle can simple screw off of the hose. If it does, you will be able to screw the ECOHEADS hose right on and voila! This is the easiest scenario for installing ECOHEADS and is the case for roughly 25-30% of our clients in the US and Canada.
If you cannot remove your nozzle from your old hose and it’s all one piece, you will need to purchase the optional ECOHEADS hose. This hose is made from durable yet flexible rubber covered in braided nylon and a major upgrade from the shiny all-in-one hose most salons get as standard from their furniture manufacturer.
Using the ECOHEADS Hose
To fit the new ECOHEADS Hose to the basin, you’ll need to reach underneath your basin and unscrew the old hose. Clean and dry the screw thread, place the washer on the inside of the silver female end of the hose before screwing onto the basin. In some cases, we advise using plumbers tape to secure a water tight connection to the ECOHEADS hose. Pun intended!
NOTE: If the thread underneath the basin does’t fit the female end of the ECOHEADS hose, you may need to purchase an adapter available on Amazon.
Thread the other end of the hose through the hose receiver next to the faucet and then attach the ECOHEADS hose to the ECOHEADS nozzle with the black metal adapter included in the box. The black adapter converts the thread on the ECOHEADS nozzle to adapt to the ECOHEADS hose. Ensure you place the included washer in the adapter prior to screwing onto the nozzle.
Using the ECOHEADS Hose Receiver
Included in every ECOHEADS X box is a black hose receiver. Basins commonly available in the United States and Canada have a square hole, whereas other regions of the world have a circle. The vast majority of salons are not able to use the hose receiver without also using the conversion plate available as an option. Many salons simply allow the nozzle to slide back into the slot or dangle into the basin like your previous nozzle would, but this is simply a matter of preference.
If you’d like to use the hose receiver, the ECOHEADS conversion plate is available to adapt your basin from a square opening to a round one so that you can screw on the hose receiver provided inside the box.
